Style | What to Wear

What you choose to wear is important and plays a huge part in the success of the finished product. Most of my clients look to me for tips on colors to choose, accessories, and clothing items to wear. I simply advise to make sure they’re comfortable in their clothing, steer from being too matchy-matchy, but be sure to coordinate.

Suggestions: Make the clothing choices interesting! I will typically suggest items that may go well with location chosen for your session. You want to avoid bold patterns (ex: plaids, stripes, polka dots) – You may want to choose a more simple pattern instead. Solid colors typically photograph well…However be a little fun by adding a little color here & there.  Dressing up is always great. Be sure to add a couple of accessories which can really make a difference  (ex: jewelry, scarves, hair accessories, etc)

I will never suggest the whole oxford shirt & khaki look. It’s a little too “classic” and well if you’ve connected with my work we’re wanting a little more modern feel for the session right?

If putting together the perfect wardrobe happens to be difficult or you want to feel like a celebrity for a day. I have a resident stylist that will assist with styling services.

The “StyleMe” option is available upon request and additional fees will apply. A lot of my clients choose this option. Our stylist will choose the best looks to meet the need of the shoot and your personality.
